Pretty boring Picture, But this is Indiana in January!

I had to Include a corn field in my post because this what you see the most of, there is a song"there is more than corn in Indiana", But it is the theme song for a very small amusement park in Indiana so there is not a lot more. On the brighter side 75 days till spring.

  1. Actually, I don't really think it is boring, it has a nice repetition of the stems that get denser as you go further back. I do wish you would have straightened the horizon though, I think it would make this much better.

  2. I like the pattern here - and I will be the first argue that you can not get a beautiful shot of something you see every day. Just take a different look at it - as you have done here! A potentially interesting alternative here might be a perspective low to the ground - maybe looking through the stubble in the front. A real bug's eye view!

  3. You've captured the winter very well today with all those rows and rows of corn in amongst the snow.

  5. It does look cold and dreary........ not being from snow-land, I always expect things to look brighter when there is snow (like if you did a Curves S-shape adjustment), but I'm guessing this is more accurate in terms of a true depiction. I think I'll stay with sunny California.

  6. It's sort of sad with all the brown plants of old corn stalks sticking up in the snow, but at the same time it's your part of the woods.
So...it's interesting to me half the world away.

  8. I see repeating shapes and patterns! Woot!

This is also a very poignant reminder of what winter does to the landscape and foliage. But it makes spring so much more beautiful when it comes! I think it's a lovely shot!

  9. Nice repeating patterns :)
Careful of that horizon though, I think this might have been a touch neater with a perfectly horizontal divide :)

  10. Poor abandoned stalks, over here they usually put the cows in the field to eat the left overs.
